VCU Rec Sports
Problems to tackle: 1) The lack of diversity within members of the VCU Rec Sports gym. 2) Raise awareness of social opportunities to create a closer community around the surrounding neighborhoods. 3) Target students, young adults and parents.
With this insight, my partner and I decided to come up with a social app for VCU Rec Sports and create an engaging community competition. We call this campaign: Community Strong.

People can create their own profiles that showcase their interests and goals for that month. People are able to expand their circle and fitness community by becoming friends and commenting on each other's profiles.

The new and improved app will showcase all the activities that VCU Rec sports has to offer. They will also have an updated calendar of all the classes and events going on that month. People will be able to sign up for classes through the app for an easier and convenient process.

The app will also have a page displaying information of the #CommunityStrong competition. It will feature the neighborhoods in the lead up top and photos gathered from Instagram.

During the #CommunityStrong competition, each neighborhood will have their own Snapchat filter to share how they are reaching their fitness goals to their friends, family and community.
